Fused glass is a functional art form. I am a fused glass artist whose passion it is to push the boundaries of basic fused glass. I have through much trail and many errors developed a technique that is unique to my fused glass. I call it ‘boiled glass’ because in the firing process the colors ‘bubble up’ leaving their signature design on the glass. This technique makes for a very beautiful and fascinating one of a kind piece of glass. Although smooth, the glass has depth, texture and incredible images running through out each piece.
In my tangled fused glass, I am always thinking of new images that the tangles can become. The tangled trees were an idea I played with for a long time before implementing; they too are some of my favorites to make. I also ‘cut and paste’ fused glass into leaves, flowers and shapes of all kinds, these can be found in many of my bowls and platters. 5 out of 5 starsAs with my other purchase, this item arrived broken due to UPS packaging; I told Margie and she promptly issued a refund. The piece was gorgeous-the colors and the intricacy of the tangles was better even than the picture indicated. My only regret is that I was unable to use this lovely piece. I do recommend this seller.
